Boston Trip Notes
In 2023, The Day Tripper planned a weekend getaway for us in beautiful Boston, Massachusetts. Once in Beantown, we stopped by Cheers, the pub famed by the 80’s sitcom, then settled at our historic hotel, Omni Parker House. We spent the day taking in other historic sights and wrapped up with a Ghosts and Gravestones tour.
Saturday was all about The Freedom Trail, mingling history with great eats, drinks, and shopping. The North End served up an Italian feast, followed by ship spotting in Boston Harbor. Our day was capped by a failed quest for the nation’s best baked beans.
It was an unforgettable trip. Boston set a high bar for future adventures!
The Boston Reveal
After navigating our way through Minneapolis / St Paul Airport’s TSA without having any clue where we were going and just the bare essentials strapped to our backs, The Day Tripper handed each participant a lottery-style scratch off ticket.
Most of us were able to figure out how scratch offs work and some of us were able to follow the simple rule of not saying the destination before everyone knew, but all of us were super excited to take off on our first-ever cinch trip… Boston, the birthplace of the American Revolution, the setting for Cheers, and the city with a strict one cream pie per couple rule. Lets go!!!
